From flight dispatch coordination and ground support equipment operation to passenger reservation management and ramp team leadership, each position is vital to ensuring safe, efficient, and seamless airport operations. Job Positions

1. Aircraft Dispatcher (Req ID: 1045)

JOB PURPOSE

The Aircraft Dispatcher manages the turnaround Aircraft in co-ordination with multiple stakeholders across the airport, including
Authorities, Service providers & Airline flight crew to ensure the safe and timely dispatch of the aircraft. The Aircraft Dispatcher has full
control of the aircraft turnaround process and ensures activities are completed safely and on time and in line with the airline PTS,
influencing external stakeholders where necessary. Responsible for the Weight & Balance of aircraft, a focus on safety is crucial while
maintaining compliance with all Safety & Security protocols, and process as stipulated by Authorities and the Airlines.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Accountable for Weight & Balance or Load Planning various aircraft types across multiple airlines, Safety & Security protocols and in accordance to the airline requirements.
• Ensure compliance with weight and balance requirements by calculating and distributing load to maintain safe and efficient aircraft operations.
• Responsible for planning payload and overall load distribution.
• Supervise, control and influence the turnaround of aircraft ensuring safe and timely contribution by all stakeholders.
• Effective communication & co-ordination with all relevant stakeholders.
• Manage the turnaround processes and provide leadership to EASG teams with a positive ‘can do’ attitude that inspires those around you for maximum efficiency.
• Take a pro-active approach to the events around you and go above and beyond to always ensure the best possible experience for our passengers & airlines.
• Make key tactical decisions and have authority to take decisions affecting the safe & timely departure of the aircraft.
• Anticipate delays in process that will affect the PTS and update TOBT accordingly after doing everything possible to mitigate or minimize the delay.
• Ensure all stakeholders are operating in safe manner & rectify then report any unsafe behaviors or practices. Allocation of delay codes for any off schedule departures after a full an comprehensive investigation of all contributing factors with insightful reporting that can help drive future service level improvements.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• An excellent standard of written and verbal English.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position with responsibility for Load Control / Weight & Balance of aircraft. Knowledge and understanding of Weight and Balance (Relevant to Aircraft).
• Knowledge of Load control would be advantageous. Familiar with emergency procedures.
• Strong communication & leadership skills. Valid UAE driving license, or a valid driving license approved by their home country eligible for conversion.
• Knowledge in handling and storage of dangerous goods would be advantageous, previous DGR certification preferred.

2. Equipment Operator (Req ID: 927)

Purpose

The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating Ground Support Equipment and assisting with the aircraft turnaround activities to ensure safe and efficient Ramp Operations.

 

Accountabilities

  • Operate any type of Ground Service Equipment they are trained to use as instructed to do so.
  • Check cargo holds and/or surrounding areas for any abnormality or unusual occurrence including missing or damaged parts and unidentified items found within the cargo holds
  • Ensure when operating GSE that the GSE is in good working condition by performing GSE basic checks & ensure all SOPS are adhered to ensuring a safe and secure operation
  • Comply with defined UAE and other applicable law, rules, procedures and guidelines defined by Velora and customer airlines with regards to quality, safety, security, operational matters, and special products
  • Must ensure they operate safely in compliance with applicable procedures and instructions. Report safety, security and service occurrences, errors, hazards and near misses utilizing the established reporting procedures
  • Ensure that all operational procedures are complied with at all times including, but not limited to the use of Handheld devices
  • Assisting with loading and unloading baggage and cargo
  • Duties include using headsets to communicate with flight crew and ground teams during pushback operations, towing aircraft and ground equipment, performing aircraft pushback procedures

 

Education & Experience

  • Valid UAE Driver’s License
  • At least 1 year of experience as an Equipment Operator

3. Reservation & Ticketing Agent — UAE Nationals Only (Req ID: 990)

Purpose
The Reservation & Ticketing Agent is responsible for delivering accurate, compliant and customer‑focused ticketing, reservation and ancillary services for customer airlines operating at the airport. The role ensures high service standards, precise financial handling and full compliance with airline, airport and regulatory requirements while supporting passengers across normal and disrupted operations.

Accountabilities

  • Issuance of manual & system generated EMDs / manual documents for customer airlines operating out of Zayed International Airport.
  • Ticketing functions for customer airlines including issuance / re-issuance of tickets & ancillaries using Amadeus reservations desktop
  • Effective land transport arrangements for the disrupted guests
  • Reporting the documents issued on daily basis for customer airlines to the respective finance teams
  • Handling the cash / credit card sales daily (shift wise reconciliation) reporting to the shift DOS on duty. Cash deposits to be done to respective accounts
  • Responding to queries / charge back cases with supporting documents to the finance / revenue teams with customer airlines
  • Preparation of sales / revenue reports on daily, weekly and / or monthly basis and reporting to the relevant airlines
  • Managing stock (EBTs / MCOs) stock control, issuance, segregation, reporting and replenishment
  • Managing the Hub petty cash releasing cash with necessary approvals, documentation and replenishment of cash maintaining the petty cash tracker

Education & Experience

  • Any degree level education preferably in Aviation / airline management or relevant work experience
  • Certificate courses with IATA / Ticketing & fare calculations
  • Minimum 2 years’ previous aviation industry experience required within an operational environment including training
  • Fluent and proficient in English (written & verbal)
  • Fluent and proficient in MS office (Excel) (written & verbal)
  • Willingness to work in a shift pattern

4. Ramp Team Leader (Req ID: 949)

Purpose

The Ramp Team Leader provides front‑line leadership and operational supervision during aircraft turnaround activities, ensuring the safe, efficient, and on‑time loading and unloading of aircraft deadload. The role is accountable for maintaining the highest safety standards, coordinating ramp resources, and leading teams in compliance with SOPs, safety, and service requirements.

Accountabilities

  • Accountable person for the safe loading and unloading of aircraft deadload
  • As a Team Leader, you will be the responsible focal point for all team members, empowered to act proactively to ensure smooth collaboration between the teams involved in turnaround activities
  • Ensuring that all SOPs are adhered to at all times both by yourself and your team members allowing for a safe and secure operation
  • Lead the promotion of safety across aircraft turnaround activities and influences team members to maintain the highest standard of safety throughout the operation ensuring hazards or occurrences are identified and reported immediately
  • Encourage consistency and collaboration by ensuring clear communication at all levels including team briefings and completion of relevant reports
  • Responsible person to ensure all aircraft contact points are checked for damage on both arrival and departure reporting any irregularities to the Duty Manager
  • Responsible for reporting all hazards and occurrences to the management team, raising GSRs when required and within corporate guidelines

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma
  • At least 3 years’ airport ground handling experience

General Requirements (Typical for All Roles)

  • Prior experience in aviation, airport operations, or related ground services is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Ability to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid UAE driving license (where applicable for equipment/operational roles).
  • For Req 990: Must be a UAE National.
