Active learning is a key component of our pedagogy at CPS. Active learning is an approach that involves actively engaging students with the course materials through discussions, problem solving, case studies, role plays and other methods. Active learning allows students to develop their existing knowledge and understanding in order to achieve deeper levels of understanding. This means that learners are more able to analyse, evaluate and synthesise ideas and thus achieve the higher order skills of Bloom’s Taxonomy. Active learning methodology is the preferred way to transform the traditional teacher centered classroom into the newer student centered approach to teaching and learning
