Job Requirements
• Assist in the preparation and production of a range of pastry items, including cakes, tarts, cookies, pastries, and plated desserts
•Ensure all pastry products are prepared to the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation
• Collaborate with the Pastry Chef to develop new pastry recipes and dessert menus
•Ensure that all recipes are standardized and followed consistently
• Supervise and train pastry cooks and other staff in the pastry department
Monitor inventory levels of pastry ingredients and ensure timely replenishment
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe kitchen
•Conduct regular tasting and inspections to maintain the quality and consistency of all pastry items
identify and address any issues with product quality or presentation promptly
Stay updated with pastry and dessert trends and incorporate innovative ideas into the menu
•Suggest seasonal and special desserts to enhance the restaurants offerings • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards and ensure that they are followed by the team

Qualifications and Experience
•Proven experience as a Chef de Partle or Junior Pastry Sous Chef in a reputable establishment
• A culinary degree or with relevant certification is preferred • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
Competencies
Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients and presentation
•Exceptional creativity and the ability to develop new dessert recipes
• Leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to train and motivate a team
Strong organizational and time management skills
•Excellent communication skills
