Hostess
The Hostess is the welcoming face of the restaurant, responsible for creating a positive first impression for all guests. This role requires excellent customer service skills, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
– Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
– Manage guest seating, including seating guests at available tables, managing waitlists, and communicating with the kitchen and service staff regarding table availability.
– Answer guest inquiries regarding menu items, restaurant policies, and any other questions they may have.
– Assist with reservations, ensuring accurate and timely bookings.
– Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, including the reception desk, seating area, and entryway.
– Assist with special requests and accommodate guest needs to the best of your ability.
– Handle guest complaints professionally and effectively, escalating issues to management when necessary.
– Adhere to all restaurant policies and procedures, including safety and sanitation guidelines.
– Work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
– Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
