Job Description: As a Mechanical Estimation Engineer at Genfocus Electromechanical Contracting Est., you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for HVAC projects, ensuring that they align with the company’s financial and technical objectives. Your expertise in both mechanical and electrical systems related to HVAC services will be crucial in delivering comprehensive project proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop detailed cost estimates for HVAC systems, including DX and chilled water systems.
• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
• Evaluate electrical systems related to HVAC services and incorporate them into project estimates.
• Floating inquiries to the vendors.
• Review and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes to determine the best fit for the project.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all estimation activities.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the sales and project management teams.
• Participate in bid review meetings and present estimates to stakeholders.
• Continuously update and maintain an accurate database of historical costs and project data.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical estimation, specifically in HVAC systems.
• Proven expertise in Direct Expansion (DX) and chilled water systems.
• Knowledge on BMS systems will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems related to HVAC services.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
