Abu Dhabi Airports was created in 2006 to spearhead the development of the Emirate’s aviation infrastructure. Zayed International Airport (AUH) is amongst the fastest growing airport hubs worldwide, currently serving over 120 passenger destinations and a network of more than 30 airlines. The recently opened terminal more than doubles passenger capacity at the airport, capable of handling up to 45 million passengers annually, and 79 planes at once.
As the main gateway for visitors to the emirate, and the new home of Etihad Airways, the new terminal will help drive the growth of Abu Dhabi’s aviation and tourism sectors over the coming years. Purpose
The Baggage Team Leader provides front‑line leadership and operational supervision within baggage handling operations to ensure the safe, efficient and timely movement of passenger baggage. The role is responsible for delivering operational excellence, maintaining safety and compliance and leading teams to meet service level agreements (SLAs) while ensuring a superior guest experience.

Accountabilities
- Plan, update and supervise activities in order to ensure the safe and professional delivery of service for all customer airlines in line with the defined SLAs and quality standards
- Drive employee engagement and a high performance culture by being a role model that gives emphasis to empowerment, communication, quality, productivity & goal attainment
- Ensuring that all SOPs are adhered to at all times both by yourself and your team members allowing for a safe and secure operation
- Encourage consistency and collaboration by ensuring clear communication at all levels including team briefings and completion of relevant reports
- Ensure that all documentation pertaining to the tasks performed are accurately completed
- Proactively work towards the connection of all passengers and bags
- Ensure they operate safely in compliance with applicable procedures and instructions
- Report safety, security and service occurrences, errors, hazards and near-misses utilizing the established reporting procedures
Education & Experience
- Secondary / High school level education
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in airport ground handling industry
- Valid UAE Driving License
